Jack Thomas Patterson, II, an associate in the Firm’s Little Rock office, is admitted to the practice in all courts in the States of Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Patterson received both his undergraduate degree (B.A. Political Science) and his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Mr. Patterson’s practice includes commercial, consumer, product liability and personal injury litigation on both sides of the docket. He is assisting the Firm’s efforts as a member of the Plaintiff's steering committee in the Accutane MDL out of Tampa, Florida. He is shepherding the Firm’s endeavors in a number of class action cases transferred to MDL pretrial consolidation. Mr Patterson is heading the Firm’s involvement in the In Re Genetically Modified Rice Litigation case. He represents a rice farmer who is a named class representative in the nation wide consolidated complaint. Mr. Patterson is also a member of the Plaintiffs’ executive committee in the In Re Bluetooth Products Liability Litigation case. In addition to his plaintiffs practice, Mr. Patterson is a member of the Firm's litigation team that represents a number of companies including Union Pacific Railroad Company and Nautilis. His extensive jury trial experience includes being a member of the trial team that received a $1.6 million dollar jury verdict in Saline County, Arkansas involving a case of neglect by a long-term care facility and one of its residents. He has litigated other similar cases that have resulted in multimillion-dollar settlements on behalf of his clients. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Patterson worked in the public service sector. He was among five persons chosen nationally for a prestigious clerkship at the White House Counsel's Office during President Clinton's tenure. Additionally, he has worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Arkansas Attorney General's Office under the direction of then Attorney General Mark Pryor, who is now a United States Senator. Mr. Patterson also served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas where he held the position of Gang Crimes Unit Division Chief. Mr. Patterson is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, the Pulaski County Bar Association, Texarkana Bar Association, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
