Donald W. Capshaw, a partner in the Firm, has over 31 years of business and real estate litigation experience in state and federal courts as well as a banking and commercial transaction practice. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law, thus making him one of the most experienced real estate attorneys in the region. As a result, he was named as one of the "Texas Super Lawyers" for 2003 and 2004 by Texas Monthly. Mr. Capshaw is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and Arkansas, as well as the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas and the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas Law School.

Mr. Capshaw has a diverse practice in that he represents borrowers, lenders, title companies and underwriters, real estate firms and contractors, as well as large and small business owners in matters relating to real estate and commercial transactions and litigation.

Mr. Capshaw has served as president of the Texarkana Bar Association and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Texarkana Bar Association, the Northeast Texas Bar Association and the Bar Association for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Mr. Capshaw has been active in the Texarkana community serving as: City of Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Directors; Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana, Inc.; Past Vice President of Community Affairs and Board of Directors for the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce; Executive Board Member for the Caddo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; Graduate, Leadership Texarkana and Past Curriculum Chairman and Advisory Board Chairman, Leadership Texarkana; member of the Bowie County, Texas Redistricting Committee, and Allocations Chairman and Chairman of the Board for the United Way of Greater Texarkana, Inc. Mr. Capshaw is an active member of his local church (St. Edwards Parish) where he has served in numerous leadership positions.
