Richard A. Adams, a partner in the Firm, focuses primarily on securities fraud and other complex commercial class action litigation. He has been named as a “Texas Rising Star” for the years 2004-2006 by Texas Monthly, an honor bestowed to only the top 2% of attorneys practicing in the State of Texas. He has also been named as one of the Forty Under 40 great Texarkanians! by a local magazine. Over the last several years he has been involved in class actions relating to securities fraud, accounting fraud and oil and gas fraud that have resulted in over $400 million in settlements. In addition, he is in the plaintiffs’ lead counsel group on several pending class actions across the nation Mr. Adams represents several state retirement funds and several private venture capital funds with regard to his securities practice. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is also Sustaining Member of the Council for Institutional Investors, is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and Arkansas, the United States District Courts for the Western District of Arkansas and Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Adams is a cum laude graduate of UCLA and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1993. He is a member of the Arkansas and Texas Bar Associations, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Bar Association for the Eastern District of Texas, the Northeast Texas Bar Association, the Southwest Arkansas Bar Association and the Texarkana Bar Association.
